Welcome to the Emily B. Hart-Holifield Library!

We're here to help you create your success story.

The Emily B. Hart-Holifield Library is located on the first floor of the 45,000-square-foot Library-Student Success Center (L-SSC) building, and invites 91ÁÔÆæ students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community to explore our resources, facilities, and services. The Holifield Library offers print, audiovisual, multimedia, and digital resources for loan or in-library use. Research assistance and instruction is available through library tours, instruction orientations, workshops, and one-on-one research consultations with a librarian at the Reference Desk. Study rooms, tables, Wi-Fi, and multiple outlets are available inside the Library and throughout the L-SSC building.

  • Library Hours

    Spring 2026: January 14-June 11

    • Monday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
    • Friday: 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m
    • Saturday: 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
    • Sunday: CLOSED
    CLOSED the following holidays:  
    • March 31  (Cesar Chavez Day)
    • April 11-`17 (Spring Recess)
    • May 25 (Memorial Day)
    • June 12 (Commencement)
    • June 15-21 (Summer Break)
      Hours for winter and summer session subject to change.
  • Book Library Services
    On campus Library Services are available by walk-in or appointment:
    • Borrow books at the Circulation Desk;
    • Borrow course textbooks at the Circulation Desk;
    • Get library account help from library staff at the Circulation Desk;
    • Use copy machines (black and white copies 10 cents each; color copies 50 cents each);
    • Get research help from a librarian at the Reference Desk;
    • Use library facilities and materials.

  • Return Library Materials
    Items checked out from the Library may be returned at the Circulation Desk located inside the Library.
    • Lost or damaged items will be charged the cost of item and replacement processing.
    • Student transcripts will be paused until charges are paid, and may impact ability to enroll in new classes.

Bookmark Design Contest - March 23-April 26

Currently enrolled 91ÁÔÆæ students are invited to create and submit an original design for 91ÁÔÆæ Library's Annual Bookmark Design Contest! Designs should express this year's contest theme: 91ÁÔÆæ Coyotes.
Limit one design per student.

Prizes
  • 1st-3rd Place: Visa gift cards
  • 4th-5th Place: college-branded prizes
Winning designs will be printed as bookmarks to promote 91ÁÔÆæ Library's resources and services, with student name and design featured prominently.

Streaming Video Collections

 The Library offers streaming video through the following collections:

  • - world-leading producer and provider of science videos with the mission to improve scientific research and education.
  • - provides over 48,000 full-length instructional and accessible films, documentaries, and video clips.

Browse by subject type (e.g. Copyright & Plagiarism, Information Evaluation, Periodicals & Databases, et al.) or resource type (videos, handouts, and websites). Design and content are subject to ongoing evaluation to ensure and improve quality and accessibility, and may be modified, replaced, or removed without notice.
